pipework service overview

With our broad customer base, Echo have experience of working in most industry sectors, including petrochemical, power generation, chemical and pharmaceutical, installing pipework, to carry, amongst many others, steam and condensate, gas, chemical stocks and products, purified water, oils and fuels, service gasses and high pressure instrument lines.

Echo Engineering provides a full service from tender stage through planning, production, installation and commissioning, working within the required CDM regulations.

Echo utilise a wide range of materials including carbon and alloy steel, stainless steel, galvanised steel, high nickel alloys and pure nickel, copper and plastics such as ABS and UPVC in sizes ranging from 6mm O/D to 24" NB.

Projects to date include auxiliary and cooling pipework for steam turbines in a nuclear power plant, pipework for a glycol recovery skid package and styrene resin plant. In addition to traditional systems, Echo have fabricated pipe based plant such as marine oil/gas loading arm, pig launcher/receiver and pumping stations, along with a range of building services pipework and prefabricated modules.

  • Weld procedure qualifications to Asme IX & BS EN 15614 (EN 288)

  • Weld qualifications to ASME IX & BS EN 287

  • Welding Processes MMA, TIG & MAG (including flux cored).

Design

Asme B31.1, 31.3, BS 806 and most national standards using CAESAR II and Algor software.

Fabrication Workshop

Separated work areas for carbon and stainless steel fabrication include fully segregated storage facilities, material and lifting facilities and pressure testing equipment.
